Have you wondered ..... is God fair?

I did a word search in the NIV, KJV to actually see if there is that description of God.

Intrigued by a question "What in the world would ever make you think that God was "Fair" ?
I came to realize that I couldn't find a verse that ascribed God as that... "God is fair"
What I did find was that God is a lot of things, but in one sense fair isn't one of them.

If God was fair about our sins, what would he see.....?

Psalm 130:3
If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?

God is a consuming fire, a jealous God" Deuteronomy 4:24

"God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him.” Ezra 8:22

"God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath every day." Psalm 7:11

"the wrath of God is coming" Colossians 3:6

"God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you" 2 Thessalonians 1:6

"God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes." Deuteronomy 10:17


Yet because of Jesus, God's fairness toward those who believe is expressed this way:

“God is with you in everything you do" Genesis 21:22
"God is near us whenever we pray to him" Deuteronomy 4:7 (as compared to other heathen nation gods)

"God is mighty" Job 36:5
"God is my salvation" Isaiah 12:2
"God is righteous in everything he does" Daniel 9:14
"God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world" John 6:33

"God is glorified in him" John 13:31
the gift of "God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 6:23

"God is greater than our hearts" 1 John 3:20
"God is love" 1 John 4:8

Thank God we are not treated as our sins deserve....but by the fairness of grace.
