God's rainbow, our reassurance
God's Word should have been enough. But God understands the fear that can
exist in the human soul once is has grasped the power of God's wrath.
Therefore God gave Noah a visible reassurance. The next time you
see a rainbow, think of God's promise made to Noah and all his
descendants. But think also of the gentleness with which God deals with
each individual soul.
SOMETHING ABOUT WHICH TO PRAY: "But God remembered Noah..." (Genesis 8:1)

Heavenly Father, your psalmwriter asked,
"What is man that you aremindful of him?"
In today's reading I have just been reminded that every
inclination of our heart is evil from the moment that we are born.
I confess that I am no different. I confess that there is no good reason
for you to be mindful of me, no good reason for you to remember me.
And yet you do. You remembered Noah when you rescued him from the flood. And
you remembered me when you rescued me from hell through your Son Jesus.
Continue to remember me and watch over me today and always. Amen.

Hate to inject another off-topic comment, but are you guys getting your messages? I seem to have a message, but the system is asking me to install something which will change my internet options.

Yes, a rainbow does that. We take it for granted, yet we're told God "put it" there.
Nothing happens unless God.
Awesome.
